Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina | 2017–2018
Art Distrikt was an independent cultural initiative developed in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to create a meeting point for visual artists, musicians, and practitioners of audiovisual art. Emerging from the creative environment surrounding Skinlab Tattoo Studio and the Fa11out audiovisual project, it sought to connect independent artistic production with the city's public spaces.
In July 2018, the initiative expanded into Barok Street in central Tuzla as part of the Kaleidoskop Festival, with support from the City of Tuzla. Local artists created a mural, while the programme incorporated plans for outdoor cinema, audiovisual performances, and informal gatherings designed to bring contemporary art into everyday urban life.
The official opening featured the presentation of the mural and an audiovisual performance by Fa11out. By bringing together street art, electronic music, digital visuals, and public participation, Art Distrikt explored how a familiar urban street could become a platform for creative exchange and collective cultural activity.
For Senad Nurkanović, the project represented an extension of his interdisciplinary practice beyond the studio and stage: an opportunity to connect visual communication, music, live audiovisual performance, and community-oriented cultural production within a shared public environment.
Kaleidoskop Festival in Tuzla, Art Distrikt took shape in Barok Street in the city centre. Senad played a role in creating the mural, contributing to the part of the mural's execution, while also performing with Fa11out at the opening event.
The official opening brought together representatives of the local community and cultural scene. Jasmin Imamović, then Mayor of Tuzla, delivered a speech at the opening, highlighting the event's significance within the city's cultural programme.
Supported by the City of Tuzla, the initiative helped turn Barok Street into a meeting point for artists and audiences interested in street art, electronic music, and audiovisual culture.

As part of the arTz Festival of Contemporary Art, Senad Nurkanović presented the audiovisual project Fa11out, offering audiences an insight into the creative process behind electronic music production and the project's distinctive approach to audiovisual performance.
Through a public presentation focused on audio design and music production, Senad demonstrated how music is created, explained the production process behind Fa11out's sound, and introduced the audience to the way the project operates at the intersection of electronic music, digital visuals, and live audiovisual performance.
The presentation provided a behind-the-scenes perspective on Fa11out's creative workflow, illustrating how musical ideas are developed into finished productions and how sound and visual elements are combined to form a unified artistic experience.
“PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR”
In 2023, Senad Nurkanović received the “Personality of the Year” award in the Music category from the professional jury of Radio Kameleon.
The award recognizes individuals whose professional work has made an outstanding contribution to the development of the community, culture, and society.
In the Music category, the award specifically recognized Senad Nurkanović's long-standing international activity as a music producer, composer, and member of the audiovisual project Fa11out.
The award represents recognition of his continued professional development and his contribution to contemporary electronic music and multimedia art.
